History

Campbell and Shaw Lawyers was founded in 1954 by Colin B. Campbell, known as Barney to his close friends.

The firm has a strong history in Oakleigh, originally practicing out of a smaller place on Portman Street where a drycleaner now trades. The growth of the firm led to the eventual move to 30 Chester Street at a premise which was built by Kathleen, Barney’s wife.

Following a Federal Appointment, Barney moved on and David Shaw and Geoffrey Leeton became partners of the firm. David is now the firm’s Principal.
